No, in the video, there's a red, white and blue illuminated rectangle on the right side of the screen...

Also: First person to stalk TFDoc gets a prize. :P (Now that we know his real name and all.:;: )

Making others do your dirty work for you, eh? That's just like you world hungry, manipulative, power mad Canadians!

You already have The Northwest Territories! What more do you want? The YUKON?

Well, you can't have the YUKON! It's in the lil' fridge in my garage.
You can have a few shots, but you have share with me.

Pace yourself. Stop and tread water or float on your back every once in a while to catch your breath. And be careful, The Aqua Division is on maneuvers somewhere in the north atlantic, don't get prop chopped.

I guess this goes here as well as anywhere, after all, Shade started this thread and I do have that full power of attorney that I tricked her into signing when I was in Winnipeg disguised as a North Dakotan. Yah!

Anywho, the word came in today. A deal has been cut. We take over in mid April(or sooner) and open the first weekend in May.

Due to the three of us suffering recent setbacks in real estate and mutual fund investments(like everyone), for now we're buying a place in town instead of building our own just out of town as we had planned, and still do have planned. We're naming this place after our beloved lost brother, we're calling it Joe's Honky-Tonk.

Turn the page, baby. A whole new chapter comin' for the ol' Doc. I don't know if I'm more excited or scared. Plenty of both.

Chapter One - 1969-75: Learned to play and played the local scene.

Chapter Two - 1975-86: Traveled an average 48-50 weeks a year. We worked our way from bars up to concert opening tours and small concert tours of our own. Almost famous. I know lots of people say that, but it's true, nonetheless.

Chapter Three - 1986-89: Due to long-time members leaving and family loss we came home, against my will, for a regroup. We ended up having about three and a half years of ABSOLUTE MADNESS! A truely awesome era! Every night we played for great crowds of mostly family and personal friends that grew to insanity within about a year. All the places we played had to hire extra bouncers, not because of rowdyness, but to control numbers. Lots of local press and live TV, plus our own music playing regularly on two of the three radio staions. We even started our own local holiday called Don Schragg Days(too long of a story to tell).

Chapter Four - 1989-99: Moved to central California(Tulare County) and found a plentitude of 5-6 night a week gigs we could play while trying to revive some old LA connections. Hooked onto the best gig in the area and held it for the last six years while making forays down to LA. Had some luck with that, a few near misses but not quite over the hump. In 1997 we found out that Joe had ALS.

Chapter Five - 1999-2009: Moved to Vegas after being invited to a music festival(EAT'M) in '98 and in checking out the local scene we deciced we could compete and might find what we've always called "upportunities". We hooked right up with plenty of bars and smaller casinos. Our last era with Joe. He quit playing regularly in '01, we lost him in '02. We pretty much hung up our guns for most of the next year, we thought maybe for good. Then a call about an emergency afternoon gig(last minute cancellation) at Fitzgerald's immeadiately turned into a houseband gig and years of headlining and concert openings at The Fremont Street Experience.

Chapter Six - 2009-?: Moved back home and opened Joe's Honky-Tonk. Started planning to open Wild Horse Theater on Hwy 101 just south of Coos Bay, Oregon.

That would involve me going outside... Finding someone who looks similar and having them sign "Shade" does not count. ;x:

Anyways, as for the serious side: Awesome to read it's all turning out well. May your future be bright. :3

It was the easiest thing I ever done. I really just walked into Winnipeg, big as life, and someone started an argument with me right away. I knew I had found you!

You know I'm kidding, Shadsie. And, as always, thanks for the good thoughts. I need all of the positive energy I can muster, right now. This is starting to feel like the biggest and most significant thing I've done in all of my long years. We never bought houses and set roots like we have in Vegas. The whole thing together is enorous.

Well, at least it seems to be piecing together well. And, yeah: Something about this year feels like huge things are coming for everyone...
