No, I was.. that would be cool too, but I was thinking the Gumdrop cannon, as their name suggests, would shoot Ninjas.

Yeah, I thought that, too... But I thought ninjas on fire was a cooler idea. And then, to make it even better still... Have the cannon fire the ninjas that are permanently on fire!! :happy4:

They're much more effective in their devastation that way. Who would want to track a ninja that set everything around them on fire (save for the special containment unit that only you, your Godly mightiness Acey, hold the secret to creating)? Their sneakiness would be the greatest of all... For they would be forever hidden in FIRE!! :evil2:

My list updated:

List is now here.

Plawres Sanshiro has been taken off my list. It hasn't been able to excite me enough to keep up watching it (even though I finally got the whole series downloaded). Who knows...? I may watch it at some later point, just... Not now. It really is a product of its time imo. ::\ (From outta the 80s - oh the cheesiness...)

One suggestion is XXXholic.

Plot info from Wikipeidia:

Kimihiro Watanuki is a high school student plagued by yōkai, spirits with a strong attraction to him. The spirits are invisible to others and encounters with them are extremely troublesome. When he stumbles into a shop that grants wishes, however, events in his life promise to become more unusual.

The shop is owned by Yūko Ichihara, a mysterious and beautiful (sometimes playful) witch of many names and esoteric renown. For a price, she offers to grant Watanuki's wish to be rid of the spirits. The price, according to Yūko, must be of equal value and so, as payment, he temporarily becomes Yūko's part-time employee.

Watanuki's job consists of small errands dealing with the supernatural and household chores. His love interest, Himawari Kunogi, and "rival," Shizuka Dōmeki, occasionally join him in his work as per Yūko's request. The three become increasingly close despite Watanuki's annoyance with Dōmeki.

Is it in the vein of Yu Yu Hakusho and Shaman King? I'm wondering cause I tend to veer away from such shows nowadays. (The ones that could be something so dark, but are just the usual "kiddy clones.")

Anyways... List is now here.

It looks pretty dark and eccentric from the manga; it is also from CLAMP; they tend to have a good reputation.

I mostly remember CLAMP for putting out Cardcaptors/Cardcaptor Sakura. :P But, anyways, I've come to like Nate's opinion on things, and I figure I ought to check it out anyways. I've actually gotten out of being into just mecha/war related stuff of late... More into darker themed, serious stuff.

Not easy finding actual serious anime... Or even stuff with a dark theme that is actually dark. Blood+ disappointed there greatly. ::\ Nothing like the Blood: The Last Vampire movie... Was still good, just I was rather disappointed how much more cartoony it was.

But, yeah, still willing to give stuff that is not my usual tastes a try. Was really pleased with BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad... BRILLIANT series. And am definitely really liking Boogiepop Phantom atm (though that does really fall into my like of dark and serious stuff. :p ). Lucky Star was great, too.

Actually, I've yet to be disappointed with anything you all have suggested to me... I guess that's why I like getting suggestions from you all. :3

If I recall correctly it has the right amount of dark and humor in it.
