The recent "Encore Unicron" toy listing that has been popping up on online stores tended not to make much of a blip, since all the pictures indicated it was just a re-issue of Armada Unicron-- and at a hefty price, $200 U.S. However, pictures have surfaced that this is NOT just a re-issue of Armada Unicron, but rather a more translucent variation of the "Lucky Draw" Unicron OF LIGHT:

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/encore-armada-unicron-coming-in-december.1155414/page-5#post-15916848

He looks VERY nice. Yeah, it's expensive for what you get, but dang... I have a REAL hard time saying no to what is essentially SG Unicron.

Repugnus w/ Dastard & translucent Solus Prime! (As expected, Repugnus is a substantial Twinferno remold.)

Punch/Counterpunch w/ translucent Prima Prime-- and P/CP is an entirely new mold!
http://news.tfw2005.com/2018/07/10/prime-wars-trilogy-punch-counterpunch-stock-images-367124

Punch/Counterpunch looks amazing. Repugnus' robot mode looks nice, but I think his monster mode suffers a bit from being remolded from a two-headed dragon.

I don't like the idea that the last few Prime Masters are locked up with exclusives. But then I guess this wasn't a "Gotta collect them all!" type line. (Mini-cons, Mini-cons for EVERYONE!)

I figure the retail line was cut short, similarly to how Nightbeat, Crosshairs, and Needlenose were dropped from Titans Return, existing only in some reliable retailers’ info (Slugslinger made it to Amazon and Ross, but he would originally been part of a larger wave). Probably trying to squeeze these out where they can, unfortunately.

Okay, so. SDCC reveals. I'm gonna assume you guys have seen them already, as there's a bunch of links to various aspects of the new lines on the major sites. You won't have to look far to find them if you missed them.

My general feelings:

-Studio Series is top on my list. Dropkick looks amazing (even if he only transforms into his copter mode), and the KSI Drone and "Shadow Raider" are ingenious remolds. Plus we don't have enough orange TFs. VW Bee looks okay, but was clearly based on an earlier version of the design that had it more in line with his previous (not as cute) movie looks, and he has inaccurate door wings as well. Only thing I dislike is that some store exclusive 2-pack of not-changed-at-all VW Bee and TLK deluxe Bee actually has numbering in the series, so your numbering will be "incomplete" without it. Granted, that's nearly not enough to get me to spring for two toys I'll already have by that point, but it's still a little annoying for the mostly-completionist impulse in me. The Titan Changer Shatter also looks nice for what it is, and gives us a better look at her vehicle mode, which sort of reminds me of a cross between Windblade's and Armada Starscream's.

-The "Siege" portion of the War for Cybertron line looks to have some solid engineering, though most of the alt modes don't look nearly "Cybertronian" enough to me. It basically just seems to be an excuse to do new versions of the 84-86 cast again. That said, Ultra Magnus' vehicle mode being essentially his 2001 RID version is a wonderful nod, and I like that this time has the white Prime "inner robot" too. (I bet a modified version of this design was what was on the table if Ultra Magnus had won the PotP fan vote.) Hound and Ironhide are also faves, and I LOVE that Micromasters are back, and they can combine with each other to form more weaponry. Lionizer is cool, if simple. That said, why the heck are they holding back revealing ANY of the Decepticons?! I doubt there's some big secret special gimmick they all have that the other WFC toys don't. We know what Megatron and Starscream look like, Hasbro, and we know we're getting them. Just reveal 'em already!

-Cyberverse looks okay. I'm not writing it off completely like it seems most TF fans are; I don't mind gimmick toys. I just wish there was at least one "normal" size class, like the Warriors with RID, and there were some more new characters. Shadow Striker looks neat, though, and I love the new Shockwave design. Confirmation that the Scout toys only partially transform is weak sauce, though. (But what the heck, at $6 a pop, I'll still be getting them. It looks like it's the only way to get a Slipstream so far, anyways.)

Oh, and it seems like basically everyone ignored this except for Seibertron, but we're getting more Tiny Turbo Changers! I love these things, even if too many of them this time around are repaints:
https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/tiny-turbo-changers-series-4-revealed-with-rotf-megatron-dropkick-shatter-scorn-and-more/41689/
Kinda weak that Dropkick gets two redecos for his two modes (Blackout for his chopper mode and Cogman for his vehicle mode), and Shatter is a red Barricade redeco. They seriously couldn't spring for new molds for these characters?!

In one of those "FINALLY" categories:

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/hound.1157250/

Masterpiece Hound is finally coming! Along with Jazz, Trailbreaker/Hoist, and Mirage, he's one of the one's I've been SUPER surprised TakaraTOMY hasn't done yet.

Huh, never even HEARD of the Tiny Turbo Changers... or maybe I just forgot? Doesn't seem familiar...

Yeah, the Siege line feels more like "Return to Cybertron" than Pre-Earth. The games did such great pre-Earth vehicles, making them look like Eath-modes with some junk on them doesn't read quite right. That being said, they sure look cool.

More Studio Series deluxe toys-- DotM Sideswipe, TF1-3 Barricade, and most interestingly/unexpected of all, WWII Bumblebee from TLK!

http://news.tfw2005.com/2018/08/29/studio-series-sideswipe-barricade-and-wwii-bumblebee-revealed-370778

Hot dang, WWII Bee looks awesome. So do the others, Sideswipe and Barricade already have good toys.

NYCC reveals galore!

Bumblebee Movie:
http://www.bwtf.com/news/nycc2018-bumblebee-movie-reveals

Cyberverse:
http://www.bwtf.com/news/nycc2018-cyberverse-official-photos

Siege Decepticons:
http://www.bwtf.com/news/generations-siege-decepticons-nycc2018-reveals

My favorites:
-Brunt! Love that Trypticon's tank buddy has a robot mode now. I forsee a store exclusive(?) redeco of this as Tankor.
-Refraktor! I love the idea that you CAN buy three of him, but don't HAVE to. (That said, he better be 3 per case.)
-Flywheels! His components don't have individual modes like Battletrap, sadly, but still cool we're finally getting a modern toy of him.
-Shockwave! Yep, this pretty much confirms they're using the "losers" of the PotP fan vote for the Leaders in this line. No reason Shockwave would have a larger spaceship and armored-up robot mode otherwise. I'm pretty sure I know what gimmick the upcoming list for a Siege Leader-class Megatron will have, now...
-Slipstream! Alright, new mold this time and not just a Cyberverse Starscream redeco! Her face looks off, though...
-(Cyberverse) Soundwave w' Laserbeak-launching gimmick! Awesome!
-Scout class Shadow Striker is one of those "so bad it's good" things. For her "halfway" mode she basically turns her butt forward for car mode and farts towards her enemies. BWAHAHA.

BOTBOTS! These little 1" things actually transform-- into all kinds of very unconventional alt modes! Check it out:
http://news.tfw2005.com/2018/10/22/first-look-at-transformers-botbots-toys-374471

It looks like the Transformers fan community has put together a list of all the known Botbots from the various pictures. They come in 8-packs for $15, 5-packs for $10, and a "blind box" for $3. (Both the 8-packs and 5-packs also have 1 of each in a "blind box".) Not all have known names (and there's even one name that no one's been able to attach to a toy):
Angry Cheese (Grilled cheese sandwich)
Arctic Guzzlerush (Sports drink bottle)
Batsby (Baseball bat)
Chilla Gorilla (Headphones)
Cocoa Crazy (Mug of Cocoa)
Dr. Moggly (Alt mode unknown)
Duderoni (Slice of pizza)
Fit Ness Monster (Fitbit-like wristband)
Frohawk (Hairspray can)
Fomo (Digicam)
Fottle Barts (Ketchup bottle)
Goob Toob (TV set)
Hawt Diggity (Hot Dog)
Kid Klobber (Boxing glove)
King Toots (Toilet paper roll)
Laceface (Football)
Lolly Licks (Lollipop)
Name Unknown (Book)
Name Unknown (Pencil)

Name Unknown (Chainsaw)
Name Unknown (Fungus/Matchsticks?)
Name Unknown (Hammer)
Name Unknown (Houseplant)
Name Unknown (Power drill)
Name Unknown (Rock)
Name Unknown (Venus flytrap)
Name Unknown (Bonsai tree)
Name Unknown (Cupcake)
Name Unknown (Hamburger)
Name Unknown (Baseball)
Name Unknown (Soccer ball)
Name Unknown (Flashlight)
Name Unknown (Game console controller)
Name Unknown (Plunger)
Nobeeoh (Deodorant)
Nrjeez (Can of energy drink)
Plop Father (Cannoli)
Poo Sham (Shampoo bottle)
Pucksie (Puck)
Raddhaxx (VR headset)
Remorsel (Chocolate bar)
S.A. Cheez (Camera)
Screen Fiend (Laptop)
Sergeant Scrubadub (Soap bar)
Shredder Jack (Nachos)
Sippy Slurps (Drink cup)
Skillz Punk (Game Cartridge)
Sprinkleberry D'uhnut (Donut)
Spud Muffin (Box of fries)
Stinkosaurus Rex (Potted plant)
Sudsbeard (Hand soap dispenser)
S'up Dawg (Corndog)
Unilla Icequeencone (Ice cream sundae)
Twerple Burple (Soda cup)
Waddlepop (Ice cream bar)

There are apparently 61 in Series 1, so there's a couple here that are in Series 2.
I think Waddlepop is my favorite. Ice cream bar-to-penguin is genius.

EDIT: Aaaand more BotBots stuff, including the "Lost Bots" which are only found in the "blind boxes":

Catalog, indicating there will be over 190 BotBots released next year!

Lots of Studio Series reveals!

First is voyager Optimus remolded so it can combine with a new LEADER CLASS JETFIRE, and a voyager class Bonecrusher is coming as well:

http://news.tfw2005.com/2018/10/26/transformers-studio-series-optimus-prime-and-bonecrusher-official-images-374864

Also coming in the same wave as Jetfire is a Leader class DotM Megatron with a cloth cape and what looks like an "Igor" accessory!

http://news.tfw2005.com/2018/10/26/studio-series-dotm-megatron-and-jetfire-374742

And finally, a look at the Spring 2019 toys, including the BOMBSHELL news that-- over the course of 2019 and 2020-- Studio Series will be releasing all of the RotF Constructions-- EIGHT, according to the press releases-- and they THEY WILL ALL COMBINE, making this the gestalt with the most components ever! Rampage, Long Haul, and Scrapmetal are shown Constructicon-wise, as well as deluxe Shatter and basically a re-release of TLK Cogman (with a few paint modifications):

http://news.tfw2005.com/2018/10/28/transformers-studio-series-shatter-cogman-scrapmetal-rampage-long-haul-official-images-375457

One of the Hasbro person had IN HAND a gray combined Devastator prototype:

Smaller and fuzzier but full-color "mockup" of Devastator:

Awesome news on Studio Series! I like the RoTF Constructicon designs, but some of the ‘09 toys were super-fiddly. And now Jetfire has his ax! So glad I almost but didn’t order Movie the Best RoTF Leader Jetfire.

With luck, Long Haul (who is squat and thick in keeping with his on-screen appearance...nice!) serves as a basis for TLK Onslaught some day, too! And the DoTM garbage truck (there is a brief scene where a Long Haul generic scans a garbage truck and drives off.)

Pumped for Mad Max truck DoTM Megs with “soft goods” (toy jargon!) cape, too. Leader class seems apt for a guy where truck and trailer together form the body.

This line really is checking off a wish list for movie fans!
